Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
A few words on therapy ......
A person who comes to therapy is not "broken". Rather this person has a nagging feeling or thought that something just isn't either the way they want it to be or the way it needs to be and the things they used to do are just not as useful as they once were.
Now, this may seem very vague, broad and well "like a therapist" of me. And, this is absolutely correct, because I have no idea who you are and what brings meaning and value to your life. Therapists spend years attending graduate school, professional training, and buying way too many books on subjects even remotely related to therapy.
However, I know nothing of you because you are the expert on you and you are thinking about coming to therapy for you, not me.
Okay, the heading said this was "A few words on therapy" and I did not give a real solid explanation of therapy. Well, there is really not only one explanation to give; there is one pertinent question to ask: What do you want your therapy to be like? The answer to this question is something I’m really interested in.
